Insights metrics glossary

What every number on your Insights dashboard actually means.

Insights metrics, defined

The Insights dashboard packs a lot of numbers into a small space. This glossary explains each one in plain language so you can read your data with confidence. Every definition below maps to a card, chart, or column you will see on the dashboard.

Sessions

A session is one continuous visit to your flat. It starts when a person joins and ends when they leave or go idle. One person can create several sessions across a day if they come and go.

Unique visitors

The number of distinct people who came to your flat in the selected time range. Each person is counted once no matter how many times they visited, so this tells you reach rather than activity.

Visits

The total count of room visits in the range. Unlike unique visitors, visits counts every arrival, so one busy person can add many visits. It measures volume of activity.

Attendance

Attendance describes who showed up and when, broken into new versus returning visitors plus the busiest days and hours. It answers whether you are pulling in fresh faces or the same regulars, and when they tend to arrive.

Average session duration

How long a typical visit lasts. The dashboard shows a median visit length, which is the middle value across all visits and is less skewed by a few very long or very short sessions. Longer durations usually mean people found a reason to stay.

Peak concurrency

The largest number of people in your flat at the same moment during the range. It marks your busiest single point and helps you judge whether a room hit its capacity.

Screenshare usage

The share of people who turned on screensharing while in a room, shown as a percentage alongside camera and mic adoption. High screenshare usage points to presentations and demos rather than casual mingling.

Returning members

People who have visited your flat before and came back in this range, as opposed to first-time visitors. A healthy returning share is a strong sign that your space is sticky and worth coming back to.

Geographic breakdown

Where your visitors are connecting from, grouped by country. The dashboard shows your top locations with a count of visitors each, so you can see how international your audience is and plan timing around their time zones.

Total time

The combined time everyone spent in your flat during the range, added across all sessions. It is a rough measure of overall engagement, since more total time means more collective attention on your space.
