Even though flat.social is still fun even if you're the only participant in your virtual space the real functionality shines when there is a group of guests present at the same time.
Inviting other guests is as simple as sharing the invite link.In order to find the invite link enter the flat that you want to share the link to. On the top right find the button Share. Click on it like you mean it.
If you clicked on it correctly, a popup screen will appear with the share link option. You can copy the link directly to your clipboard or share it via methods like Twitter, Gmail or Facebook Post.
You can select between sharing a link to your flat and a link to a specific room within the flat. It's flexible.
An invite link to your flat is permanent, unique and the flat is always-open. You can add it to recurring calendar events or a a meeting in Calendly.
It's permanent because we won't suddenly change your link - it doesn't expire. The only way to change your flat link is to go to Admin ➜ Name & URL and change it there.
It's unique because no other flat on the platform can have the same link.
It's always-open because flats have no closing and starting time. They're always-open spaces that your guests can join at any time.
There are two types of invite links that you can use: One points to the flat in general and guests that will join through it will end up in the lobby of your flat. The other link can point to any specific room
Flat Link points to your flat in general. Guests who arrive through this link will land in the lobby of the flat or in the first room that's on the list.
Room Link points to a specific room within your flat. Guests who arrive through this link will land in that specific room.
The only way to change the link after you have created the flat is to do it through Admin ➜ Name & URL.
Please mind that if you change the link, the link that you had in there will be no longer active.
Each of the rooms has a different amount of participants that it can host. Those range from smaller meetings with ~10 participants to large ones that can host up to a 100.
The maximum capacity of your flat will be a sum of all of the capacities of individual rooms.
