How to Use the Random Letter Generator

One click gives you a random letter. A few settings let you customize exactly what you need.

Choose how many letters. Generate a single letter or a batch. Need one letter for a word game? Set it to one. Need six letters for a Boggle-style round? Set it to six. You can generate up to twenty letters at a time.

Pick your case. Choose uppercase (A-Z), lowercase (a-z), or mixed. For most games and classroom activities, uppercase is easiest to read. Mixed case works for typing practice or password generation.

Filter vowels and consonants. Want only consonants? Exclude vowels. Need at least two vowels in your set? The random letter picker lets you control the mix so you don't end up with six consonants and no way to make a word.

Generate. Click the button and your random letters appear. Click again for a new set. Each generation is independent, so you might get the same letter twice in a batch (just like real letter tiles in a bag).
