How do you see who is online in flat.social?
Open the Users panel in your flat. It lists everyone in your space, shows who is online or offline with a last-seen time, and tells you which room each person is in right now. You can filter by room, show online users only, and search by name.
What the Users panel shows
The Users panel is your live view of the space. Every person appears with their name, an avatar, and a green or gray dot for online or offline.
For anyone online, the panel shows where they are right now, either "In lobby" or the name of the room they walked into. For anyone offline, it shows a last-seen time like "Last seen 5 minutes ago". The list refreshes on its own, so you always see the current state of your flat.
Filter and search the list
When a busy event fills up, three controls help you find the right person fast.
- Online only: flip this toggle to hide everyone who has left and focus on people still in the space.
- Room filter: pick a room (or the lobby) from the dropdown to see only the people gathered there. Handy for checking whether your keynote room is full while the networking room sits empty.
- Search by name: start typing to narrow the list to matching names.
The panel sorts online people to the top, then orders by who was seen most recently.
Use the room filter during a multi-room event to spot which rooms are crowded and which need a nudge. Pair it with announcements to move people toward the quiet rooms.
