What emails does flat.social send?

flat.social sends a short list of emails: account emails (verification, password reset, account deletion), invitations when someone invites you to their flat, billing emails for flat owners, and one personal welcome note after you sign up. Account, invitation, and billing emails come from flat.social [email protected]. The welcome note comes from Paweł [email protected].

This invitation expires in 30 days."
Invitation emails come from [email protected] and expire after 30 days.

The welcome note

About an hour after you sign up, once your email is verified, you get a short plain-text note from Paweł, who started flat.social. The subject is "hello from flat.social, we've got a little question for you". It asks one question about how you plan to use flat.social, or how your first visit went.

  • It never arrives between 22:00 and 07:00 in your time zone; it waits for the morning.
  • Replies go to a real person, who reads every one. A one-line answer is plenty.
  • To opt out, reply "no", "unsubscribe", or "stop". You won't get these personal emails again.

Opting out doesn't affect account, invitation, or billing emails. Those are about things you or someone else did in flat.social, so they still arrive.

Not sure an email is real?

Genuine emails come from [email protected] or [email protected], and their buttons lead to flat.social pages. If something looks off, don't click it. Ask us through Get help.
