Insights metrics, defined
The Insights dashboard packs a lot of numbers into a small space. This glossary explains each one in plain language, using the same definitions you see when you click the info icon next to a metric. Insights is available on the Monthly plan.
Overview
Unique (unique visitors): distinct people who joined in the selected period, registered users and guests, each counted once.
Visits: total times people joined a room. One person can have several visits.
Peak: the most people in the flat at the same time during the period.
Total time: total time spent across everyone, in participant-hours.
Median visit: typical visit length. Half of visits were shorter, half longer, so a few very long or very short visits don't distort it the way an average would.
Sessions: the number of room sessions. A session runs from the first person joining a room until it empties, so a room that fills up and empties twice in a day counts as two sessions.
Activity over time: visits and time, grouped by the day, week, month, or year you pick under Group by.
Who's coming: the split between visitors with an account and anonymous guests.
Top rooms: rooms ranked by visits, with the total time spent in each.
Top locations: where visitors joined from, by country. Countries that can't be detected show as "Unknown".
Attendance
Bounce rate: the share of visits shorter than about 30 seconds, a quick in-and-out. It's a first-impression signal: a high bounce rate can mean people didn't find what they expected.
Peak rooms: the most rooms that had people in them at the same moment.
New vs returning: new means first seen in this period; returning means seen before it. A healthy returning share means people come back.
Busiest times: when people show up, by weekday and hour, in UTC. Darker squares are busier, which helps you schedule events.
Engagement
Engaged vs passive: the share of visits where someone turned on their camera, mic, or screen share, compared with visits where they only watched and listened.
Feature adoption: how many visitors used the camera, the mic, and screen sharing, and the average time they had each one on.
