What emails does flat.social send?
flat.social sends a short list of emails: account emails (verification, password reset, account deletion), invitations when someone invites you to their flat, billing emails for flat owners, and one personal welcome note after you sign up. Account, invitation, and billing emails come from flat.social [email protected]. The welcome note comes from Paweł [email protected].
Account emails
| Subject | When you get it |
|---|---|
| Verify your email for flat.social | After you sign up with email and password, or when you click Resend email on the verification banner. Click Verify email in it. |
| Reset your flat.social password | After you click "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page and then Send reset link. The link expires in 1 hour. |
| Your flat.social account has been deleted | Right after you delete your account, as confirmation. |
If you didn't ask for a verification or reset email, you can ignore it; nothing changes. See Manage your account and Delete your account.
Invitation emails
| Subject | When you get it |
|---|---|
| {name} invited you to {flat} on flat.social | Someone invited you to their flat by email. Click Accept invitation; the invitation expires in 30 days. |
You get this email once for each invitation. If the host clicks Resend, the same email arrives again with the same link. Apart from that, flat.social won't email you unless you sign up. See Invite people by email or role link.
Billing emails (flat owners)
| Subject | When you get it |
|---|---|
| Your Monthly plan is active: {flat} | You started a Monthly plan. |
| Plan updated: {flat} is now N seats | You changed the number of seats. |
| Your plan will end: {flat} | You cancelled. It says the date your seats last until. |
| Back on Free: {flat} | The cancelled plan has ended and the flat is on Free again. |
| Day Pass confirmed: {flat} | You booked a Day Pass. It lists the date, size, and amount. |
| Day Pass rescheduled: {flat} | You moved a Day Pass to a new date. |

Confirmations for new purchases go to the email you entered at Stripe checkout. To see what you paid, use Manage billing for a Monthly plan or Download invoice on a Day Pass, both in Settings → Plans & Upgrades. See Monthly plan and Day Passes.
The welcome note
About an hour after you sign up, once your email is verified, you get a short plain-text note from Paweł, who started flat.social. The subject is "hello from flat.social, we've got a little question for you". It asks one question about how you plan to use flat.social, or how your first visit went.
- It never arrives between 22:00 and 07:00 in your time zone; it waits for the morning.
- Replies go to a real person, who reads every one. A one-line answer is plenty.
- To opt out, reply "no", "unsubscribe", or "stop". You won't get these personal emails again.
Opting out doesn't affect account, invitation, or billing emails. Those are about things you or someone else did in flat.social, so they still arrive.
Genuine emails come from [email protected] or [email protected], and their buttons lead to flat.social pages. If something looks off, don't click it. Ask us through Get help.
