How Free, Monthly, and Day Pass work, plus the limits you might run into.

Every plan is priced by how many people can be in your flat at the same time. There are no per-guest charges, and guests can join without an account when your flat allows anonymous users. Full pricing is on the pricing page.
Does flat.social have paid plans?
Yes. There are three ways to run a flat: the Free plan (up to 5 people at once), the Monthly plan ($6 per seat per month, 6 to 100 seats), and the Day Pass ($2 per additional seat for 24 hours) for one-off events. A seat is one spot in your flat at the same time, not a named user.

Free is a full flat: Open Spatial and Conference rooms, build mode, your own look, roles, and unlimited session length, for up to 5 people at once.
Monthly raises capacity to a number of seats you pick between 6 and 100, and adds Insights and a higher daily email-invite limit. You can resize or cancel it any time. See Monthly plan.
A Day Pass adds capacity for a 24-hour window you schedule. You only pay for seats above what your plan already includes: on Free that means at least 6 extra seats (11 people or more), on Monthly from 1 extra seat. See Day Passes.
Only the flat owner can buy, change, or cancel a plan, from Settings → Plans & Upgrades. Planning something bigger than 100 people? Talk to us.
How capacity is counted
Two caps apply at the same time:

Only people inside rooms count; the lobby doesn't. When a cap is reached, new arrivals wait at the door and get in automatically when a spot opens. Nobody who is already inside is removed. See When your flat is full.

Expecting a crowd for one event only? A Day Pass is usually the cheapest option. For example, taking a Free flat to 100 people for a day costs 95 additional seats × $2 = $190.
